Physical Appearance:
Mafalda has an angular face, usually carved by her long and somewhat layered hair. One could call her plain looking as no trait of her actual body stands out more than her odd shade of white-blonde hair and prominent lime-green eyes. Mafalda is considered to be exceedingly feminine but never holds her head very high, more of submissive girl. Mafalda walks with her arms tight to her body and her hips don't make a twist too much when she moves.

Her body is not something that could be considered "attractive", she's small and extremely thin. Mafalda's mildly unhealthy look fits well with her body frame, so her limbs are not too long or short, just right. One can expect with her borderline thin body is her skin being very pale, proving that she doesn't get out very much.

Mafalda's clothing is more or less set in anything dark, mostly due to dark clothing being warmer and it makes her feel like she's more invisible because dark colours seemed to go unnoticed.

Biography:
Ulysses Burke, the second cousin of Molly Prewett, had jumped ship and stopped caring about being Wizard at some time in his young life. During his youth, he'd always been a nasty young man and in doing that he'd found himself a woman named Polly, although thought to be muggle due to her profession, another witch. The two lived closest to Molly and Arthur when they were first married and often were rude to the two about how they raised their children, which rubbed them the wrong way. Ulysses was, in fact, a blood traitor and could careless about his status.

The moment the two became smitten with a burden, Mafalda. She wasn't in their plan and the fact that she HAD come into their plans made the two unsure of what to do. She was going to end up having to be properly taught and they didn't care about going through the motions. Mafalda was treated as what they thought she was, a burden. She was often left home and usually uncared for as a child, she had no older siblings to play with and often did alot of crying due to lack of attention. Mafalda's lack of attention made her a reclusive little girl, playing by herself and finding ways to experiment with her "differences". While she attended a muggle school, she was removed do to a accidental attack on another student while she was in the third grade and tutored at home.

Mafalda was a brat, she caused alot of trouble because she wanted people to notice her. Mafalda was a very strange kid, but incredibly clever. She was quick-witted, ambitious and bratty for her whole life and when it was time to go to Hogwarts? She could even express her happiness by anything less than running around her house wailing about owls and magic, Ulysses had to do something about it and contact Arthur and Molly Weasley. The two had to chat and an arrangement between them came that Ulysses would pay Arthur and Molly to take care of and make sure she made it to Hogwarts every year. However, there was a snag, Mafalda was absolutely atrocious and often caused tons of problems at the home. Mafalda never kept her mouth shut and told everything she heard to the person who probably shouldn't have heard it. Although she never went unpunished and often had tricks played on her which were both humiliating and humorous to the other brothers and to Ginny as well. After that, she wasn't allowed to come back to the school and against Ulysses' wishes he had to involve himself in the Wizarding World again. His job wasn't going to cut it, so he had to find himself something that was actually perfect for his skills of straight facts; A Detective.

This job change was effective immediately, his pay lowered sum and they had to move farther from London. The family lived in a decent sized house with very good income, Polly still kept her job. Mafalda had something to brag about in school that her father was a detective, she even took on these qualities on her own which landed her into Slytherin. Mafalda's school career was admirable, she was smart, clever and generally followed Pansy's gang about like a newbie usually did "trying to get in the pack" per se. Some found her to be fun and others found her to be extremely strange, she often was sneaky and due to not having people to interacted talked a little funny.

Although, everything changed when she turned fourteen. Ulysses was put on a case concerning the whereabouts of a few Death Eaters. During this Thorfinn Rowle decided to put a stop to it and captured Ulysses in Diagon Alley, taking him to his home in Leeds, England. The Death Eaters and Voldemort himself did awful things to him while trying to get him to open his mouth on what he knew. When he refused, Thorfinn went after Polly and killed her, bringing her head back as proof of what he had done. Ulysses refused even more now that they had done that, Thorfinn's previous girl killing days stopped when he found Mafalda and jerked her right from the grounds. Rodolphus was there to help at the time and she was taken to Thorfinn's home and held hostage while they tried to coax the information out of him. [ The information was told and Voldemort and he couldn't believe it, he couldn't manage to think of someone knowingly found it. [ Information to be added ]]

After the events of 1997, she went back home with a new attitude. She was even marked while Lord Voldemort took over the school, something she tried to run away from. Now that she had nobody around her, she was now the property of her Great-Grandfather Carcaturus Burke. The money that came from her parents was kept in Gringott's and she moved into the shop with him, working in his shop during the summer. Mafalda was never the same afterwards.

Personality:
Mafalda Burke, a pureblood just like her family's name. She grew up with hostile parents, who were connected to the Molly Weasley through Ignatius' sister. Her Great-Grandfather is the weasel-like Carcaturus Burke of Borgin and Burke's who disowned his son's blood traitorous ways. You can see right away that Mafalda has a lot of hostility in her life and shew grew up feeling that she needed to be seen and get her point across, she had to be the best to get that way. The girl is as sharp as a sword and is just as deadly, her mouth used to go off and say things to take herself to the top and she never worried about other's feelings. Mafalda's high expectation could touch the sky and go beyond that if she could get there. In her home life she had to fight to get her way and if school was like home, she'd do the same. The girl had a smart mouth and she was a little know it all.

Although her behavior was very becoming of a Slytherin, she had very little tact and often was caught of her little lies. Mafalda figured that if she was going to get anywhere, she was going to do it with the truth. She tattled on people for breaking the rules and she was greeted with a Prefect Position in her upcoming fifth year.

However, things changed for the worse. Mafalda's loss struck her deep and now she was property of her Great-Grandfather who didn't care much for her other than the fact that she could MAYBE bring some pride to the name she bared, which was a big deal. Mafalda became reclusive, estranged and quiet. She focused everything on her studies and started people pleasing, her tattle-telling had ceased and so did her over rumorous mouth. Although, their were times where she seemed like her old self but she was never the same.

She tended to keep to herself, didn't take part in hurting others and frequently sulking by herself. Mafalda became a little weird, talking strangely and lightly and taking on nerdy hobbies like playing Wizard Chess. Although, she never lost her clever edge and kept with her studies but her Know-It-All attitude had died, being arrogant never got anyone anywhere was her knew idea.

Likes: Horses, Reading, Painting and Drawing

Dislikes: A lot of people, muggleborns, blood-traitors, talking in class and loud noises, flashes and bright lights. Thestrals(Now that she can see them.)

Extracurricular Activities: Wizard Chess

Romantic history: She was involved with Hufflepuff, Jacob Dorny and Ravenclaw Jolan DuNoon. She's not interested in anyone at the moment.
